AVON PUBLIC SCHOOLS seeks an Elementary Special Education Teacher for an anticipated vacancy. The position requires CT certification in Special Education and a degree in Spanish, with responsibility for planning and instruction for students with social, emotional and behavioral needs.

The teacher will supervise paraeducators, support IEP processes, and collaborate with the building principal to meet student goals. This is a one-year interim position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualificações

• CT State Department of Education certification in Special Education is required or eligible.
• A degree from an accredited college or university in Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Provides comprehensive case management, planning and instruction to students needing social, emotional and behavioral support.
• Provides training, support, and guidance to para educators; co‑teaches and supports classroom team.
• Implements IEPs and leads PPT processes.
• Other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.

Work Year:In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the association and the Board of Education. One (1) year interim position for the 2026-2027 School Year
