Job summary

Joby Aviation is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to drive quality and readiness for supplier components, from development through mass production. You will lead NPI efforts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure robust supplier processes and metrics across different regions.

The role requires up to 50% travel, deep GD&T knowledge, and strong leadership. A BS in engineering and 5+ years in industrial/manufacturing or supplier quality engineering are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Improve tools and approaches to quality management in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead supplier planning, manufacturing, and quality control processes from development to mass production.
• Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at suppliers and drive improvements in cost, quality, and scalability.
• Facilitate clear technical communication between Suppliers and internal teams (Purchasing, Quality, Design).
• Audit suppliers to ensure performance, delivery, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to define performance specifications and metrics.
• Lead supplier development and launch readiness for new products and design changes.
• Guide suppliers to develop robust processes for efficient production of high-quality parts.
• Validate corrective actions for design/process changes to ensure robustness across lines.
