Objectives

Programming and troubleshooting of control systems that include PLCs, servo drives, AC drives, interface modules, DC drives, and HMIs. Also includes mechanical skills for assistance in mechanical repairs and preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. Serves as the shift lead and technical lead on the assigned shift. The successful individual must be able to support all production areas and multi‑task within a collaborative maintenance and engineering team.

Key Activities / Responsibilities

Program and troubleshoot Control Systems including supporting Project Engineering in new equipment installations. Perform electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance.

Scope of Position

Primary responsibilities include day‑to‑day programming and troubleshooting of control systems that include PLCs, Servo Drives, AC Drives, Interface Modules, DC Drives, and HMIs. Additional mechanical responsibilities for repairs and preventive and predictive maintenance. Ability to read, redline, and create electrical drawings. Demonstrates ability to lead projects and/or work groups, make sound decisions using problem‑solving tools, multi‑task, coordinate projects, and communicate results. Experience with Lean manufacturing preferred. Operates as a point person for electronics‑related issues and escalation point to junior technicians. Identifies and implements continuous improvement projects following change management procedures. Supports projects for the electronics group.

Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree in a maintenance related field or 10 years maintenance experience with a High School diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum of 8 years working with control systems and electrical troubleshooting.

Preferred: Mechanical background, CMMS (MP2), PLCs (GE & Allen Bradley), Servo Controls, Drives, HMIs.

Location: Greenville, SC.
