Qualifications

• Extensive electromechanical design experience in complex systems (medical device preferred).
• Experience turning concepts into prototypes and validated designs.
• Ability to guide internal engineers and external contractors with technical oversight.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals, tolerances, materials and manufacturing.
• Experience communicating complex tradeoffs to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of robotic end effectors for precise magnet manipulation.
• Own electromechanical design from concept to prototyping and verification.
• Provide technical oversight to external contractors on core projects.
• Drive decisions using first-principles analysis, simulation, and hands-on testing.
• Define and review requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and robotics engineers to integrate designs.
• Support risk analysis, design reviews, and investigations in a V-model framework.
