Nova Biomedical seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Norwood, MA to drive electromechanical product development and sustainment. You will prepare designs, drawings, analyses, and cost estimates, while mentoring junior engineers and guiding cross‑functional teams.

The role emphasizes manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability, with collaboration across R&D, Manufacturing, and Production to deliver robust products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in design, prototyping, and testing of electromechanical devices.
• Experience with SolidWorks and documentation for electromechanical products.
• Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts based on requirements and present to stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed specifications, designs, analyses, and simulations for major hardware components.
• Oversee fabrication and assembly of models and prototypes.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and teams.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers to deliver projects on time.
