Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Seeker Modeling and Simulations Engineer 3 to support the Launch Vehicles unit in Chandler, AZ. You will develop high-fidelity simulations of seeker design, evaluate performance, and support flight-test activities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role requires advanced EO modeling expertise, strong C/C++ and MATLAB/Python skills, and a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required at time of application.
• Experience with image and signal processing techniques is required.
• Expertise in physical optical systems simulations and scene generation is required.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and MATLAB or Python is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity simulations and models for seeker design and flight test support.
• Design and implement modeling solutions and perform trade studies.
• Collaborate with GNC and other teams to perform simulation activities.
• Provide technical expertise for GPI simulation and modeling products.
