Job summary

Dematic Corp. is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician 4 for the Union City, GA site. This senior role leads advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of conveyor and material handling systems, mentoring junior technicians and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The position requires strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills, with experience in CMMS, schematics interpretation, and automation technologies. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree/technical training preferred.
• 5–7+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with conveyors, sortation systems and material handling equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with CMMS for work orders, PM scheduling, inventory, and asset management.
• Strong analytical and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead technical resource for troubleshooting and maintaining automated material handling systems (electrical, mechanical, PLC, robotics, controls).
• Drive rapid resolution of equipment failures; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve reliability and uptime.
• Support conveyors, sortation systems, drives, motors, sensors, scanners, and networked controls.
• Utilize diagnostic tools/software to identify and resolve issues; coordinate daily maintenance activities.
• Mentor technicians and provide technical training; ensure safety and compliance.
