Jacobs in Jackson, MS is seeking a Lead Electrician to join our operations, maintenance, and safety-focused team. You’ll perform electrical maintenance, modify systems, and execute preventive maintenance designed for our facility, ensuring reliability and compliance.

Bring four+ years in water/wastewater plant operations, proven team leadership, and proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook and maintenance management systems. Experience with PLCs/SCADA and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

Four (4) plus years of experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plants or similar.
Experience leading teams and assigning work.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and data entry into a maintenance management system.
Proficient in plant SCADA systems and software.
Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infraction.

Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains facility electrical wiring and fixtures per blueprints, manuals, and codes.
Installs and repairs electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
Repairs and maintains major equipment such as motors, generators, and electrical control systems.
Tests defective equipment to determine cause of malfunction using standard electrical test equipment.
Observes functioning of installed facility equipment to detect hazards and need for adjustment, relocation, or replacement.
Inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding; repairs or rewires plant equipment systems.
Plans layout of new wiring installations.
Maintains files supporting maintenance activities and logs findings.
