Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an Electrician III for the Rio Grande State Center in Harlingen, TX. This position performs advanced electrical maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades, ensuring code compliance and safe operation across the facility.

The role requires leadership abilities to guide others, strong diagnostic skills, and the capacity to interpret schematics while coordinating with the Plant Maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general principles and theory of electricity.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
• Ability to lead, prioritize, and oversee the work of others.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, or sketches.
• Must possess valid Texas driver’s license or obtain it no later than 90 days after hire date.

Responsabilités

• Performs advanced (senior-level) work in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuits at the facility.
• Inspects, tests, and troubleshoots electrical equipment, lighting, and power circuits.
• Coordinates electrical repairs performed by others.
• Advises others on electrical issues when planning maintenance projects.
• Trains, coordinates, and leads the work of others in the maintenance department on projects involving electrical work.
