Qualifications

  • Valid State of Texas Master Electrician License in good standing.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or utility-scale electrical construction.
  • Proven leadership of electrical crews and coordination with inspectors and utility engineers.
  • Expert knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and Texas interconnection frameworks.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and redline complex electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Master Electrician of Record for Ambrosia Energy's Texas operations, pulling permits and ensuring NEC/local requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and sign off on field electricians, technicians, and installers deploying solar arrays and battery storage units.
  • Oversee high/low-voltage wiring, service panel connections, transformer connections, and interconnections with utilities.
  • Develop and enforce commissioning tests: cold/hot/loop checks and insulation resistance testing.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults on-site, including DC-DC systems, MPPT networks, and power distribution.
  • Collaborate with California and Austin engineering teams to review schematics and optimize field installation processes.
  • Own site-wide electrical safety programs, ensuring NFPA 70E and LOTO compliance.
