Job description

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS (not all inclusive):
  1. Performs electrical equipment inspections and identifies condition (function, etc.) and monitors performance as directed.
  2. Reports electrical equipment condition to appropriate personnel as required.
  3. Assists plant personnel with repair and maintenance on electrical components.
  4. Analyzes electrical malfunctions, performs electrical repairs on conveyors, crushers, screens and other equipment.
  5. Examines electrical components for damage or malfunction then repairs or replaces components as necessary.
  6. Perform routine, preventative electrical maintenance such as ground continuity testing, thermal image testing, insulation testing.
  7. Perform failure analysis on failed electrical components.
  8. Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirements (i.e.; lock-out tag-out, arc flash safety, etc.).
  9. Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements, noise, mud and dust; must have ability to work independently and problem-solve while working alone or as part of a team.
  10. Must be willing to work flexible hours including some weekends and must be punctual in adhering to established start times.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods, use a computer, phone frequently, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
