Job summary

Mission Design & Automation is seeking a Lead Electrician to drive electrical execution on custom automation projects in Holland, MI. You will mentor junior electricians, coordinate builds across multiple projects, and ensure NEC-compliant panels and wiring meet safety and performance standards.

You will collaborate with mechanical designers, controls engineers, and project managers from concept through startup, while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Lead the electrical build, installation, and commissioning of multiple custom automation projects.
• Mentor and train entry level Electricians by sharing best practices and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical build, installation, and commissioning of multiple custom automation projects from concept to startup.
• Plan, organize, and control the electrical build process and related costs.
• Mentor and train entry level Electricians and develop technical skills.
• Collaborate with machine builders, mechanical designers, and controls engineers to install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Build high-quality control panels and machine wiring per NEC standards
• Interpret electrical schematics for safe wiring and troubleshooting
• Communicate project status, milestones, and budget concerns with leadership
• Assist with electrical design improvements and vendor evaluations
• Document modifications and ensure accurate project records
• Coordinate machine tear-downs and installations for dependable operation
• Maintain clean, safe workspace and adhere to safety policies
