Job summary

Edgewater Automation LLC is seeking a Lead Electrical Assembly Technician to lead the electrical build process for custom automation systems in our Buchanan Township, MI facility. You will coordinate installation, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical components, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

High School Degree.
5 years of experience as an electrician in the industrial capital equipment industry and/or special machine builder industry.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical assembly and coordinate the electrical build process.
Supervise and coordinate a team of electricians and apprentices.
Read and understand complex assembly drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
Panel wiring, machine wiring, debug and installation.
Interpret schematics to verify correct material is used.
Coordinate with engineers for changes.
Layout component locations and drill/tap holes on panels and enclosures.
Test electrical systems and ensure safety and compatibility.
Use conduit bending, wiring, and measuring tools.
Ensure safe operation and safety compliance.
Document actions across shifts.
