Albemarle County Public Schools in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Critical Systems Foreman for Building Services. This full-time on-site role leads maintenance of critical electrical, fire alarm, security, and camera systems, with supervision of staff and emergency readiness. Shift work may be required and licensing must be pursued within six months.

The position offers competitive benefits and requires ability to perform physically demanding tasks and respond to emergencies 24/7.

Competenze

• Completion of high school or vocational training with extensive electrician experience.
• Must obtain a Virginia electrical license within six months of employment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s permit issued by Virginia.
• Ability to perform strenuous tasks and work on-call for emergencies.

Mansioni

• Operate, program, and troubleshoot critical electrical and alarm systems.
• Maintain and repair fire, security, and access control systems.
• Install electrical power/lighting, switches, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with Technology Department for camera/IP systems and data drops.
• Respond to emergency calls and supervise semi-skilled workers.
• Perform duties as essential personnel, including on-call snow removal.
