Job summary

The City of Kenner, La is seeking electricians to perform skilled electrical maintenance and repair for facilities and street lights under the General Services Department. You will lead Electricians I and II, assign and complete jobs, and report outcomes to the Superintendent.

Duties include installing fixtures, wiring, repairing distribution panels, and maintaining generators, with on-site and on-call responsibilities. Requires vocational training and a valid LA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational school diploma with 3+ years of electrical maintenance and repair experience, or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Louisiana Class D driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electricians; assign and review jobs to Electricians I and II.
• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of buildings and street lights.
• Maintain, install, and repair generators.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis.
• Inspect job locations and prepare work orders and reports.
