Job summary

California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking a qualified Electrician II to lead electrical operations at the Richmond Campus. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across laboratories, offices, and critical infrastructure, including solar power equipment and low‑voltage systems.

You will oversee a team and ensure work complies with codes and safety standards, under the supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades.

Qualifications

• Lead electrician experience preferred.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and fire/life safety devices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair campus electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase.
• Lead CDPH Electrician I and coordinate Building Maintenance staff on electrical tasks.
• Maintain training per CDPH policies and OSHA guidelines and oversee safety procedures.
