Position Summary: Six Flags America is seeking a skilled and innovative person to join our Maintenance team. This person will lead the team of Electricians in the safe maintenance, design, and installation of electrical systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise the erection, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  2. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair of electrical utilities and equipment in the park and notify management of any hazards or defects or guest-related problems that may endanger the guests, staff, and the general public.
  3. Maintain and repair Park lighting and fixtures. Diagnose electrical problems, initiate required repair work.
  4. Install electrical conduit and wiring and clean electrical equipment and components.
  5. Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
  6. Ensure that manufacturer's specifications, procedures, and State regulations are complied with and documented.
  7. Adhere to and enforce OSHA Safety Standards, labor laws, and other Company policies and procedures.
  8. Communicate with the various Maintenance departments to maintain a productive and satisfying work environment.
  9. Conduct winterization and winter maintenance of electrical equipment in the park.
  10. Assist in installation, remodeling, retrofits, and rehabilitation of rides and buildings as needed.
  11. Monitor department team member voice survey scores and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
  12. Manage, develop, and evaluate the performance of full-time and seasonal staff.
  13. Keep all records and documentation updated daily, accessible, and organized.
  14. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure

Reports directly to Maintenance Construction & Facilities Manager.

Skills & Qualifications
  1. Must have 3-5 years of experience in commercial electrical repair and maintenance.
  2. Ability to understand ride monitoring equipment, relays, switches, limiters, transformers, etc. and maintenance as required.
  3. Advanced knowledge of electrical test equipment (i.e. mega/micro ohm meter, volt meter, current meter, and other various pieces of test equipment).
  4. Will be required to work various shifts as project and Park needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  5. Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
  6. Strong work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers, and park management in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements

Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, taste, smell, and may frequently lift and/or move 100 pounds. Specific vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus required. Must possess normal to average corrective hearing.

Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150ft., crawling and working in confined spaces and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles.

Must possess strong safety sensitivity & ability to work with many different types of devices.
