Job Description - Lead Electrical Wireless Engineer (078182)

Job Description

This Wireless Electrical Engineer position will primarily be responsible for the development of wireless modules and interfaces implemented within a Magnetic Resonance (MR) system. The candidate will demonstrate knowledge of industry standard wireless protocols, digital communication standards, and the circuit board design process to ensure quality design output.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess commercially available wireless solutions for implementation within MR designs, with focus on link reliability, power, and platforming/lifecycle.
2. Define and implement testing to evaluate wireless concepts in challenging RF environments.
3. Drive schematic capture for circuit boards implementing associated wireless designs and high-speed interfaces.
4. Write detailed functional specifications that document newly created designs and support product introduction.
5. Lend technical expertise to Installed Base teams to support design fixes and customer critical issues.
6. Engage in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction, and service support.

Required Skills:

1. BS in Electrical Engineering with 5 years relevant industry experience, 3+ years wireless/RF experience.
2. Experience and knowledge in the area of digital design and control.
3. Familiarity with wireless test equipment: protocol analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc.
4. Solid understanding of project management processes and procedures.
5. Experience with typical electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes.
6. Solid understanding of PWA board bring-up and system integration experience.
7. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Always eager to learn and improve.
9. Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
