Job summary

Vertiv seeks a troubleshooter, tester, and lead on electrical power distribution projects in the United States. You will test, inspect, and maintain systems, generate detailed reports, and support project proposals with estimates where needed.

The role requires NEC/OSHA/NFPA knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 50%. NETA certification is preferred. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work diverse hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with BSEE/BSME and no experience.
• Electrical Tech School or Military equivalent with three years minimum experience.
• High school education or equivalent with four years minimum experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA/NFPA standards.
• Passed NETA exam.
• Strong background in switchgear testing through 15 kV.
• Good theoretical understanding of power systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication; client and peer interaction.
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel internationally when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot relay calibration and use load recording instrumentation; test switchgear to 15 kV class.
• Test and troubleshoot moderately complex electrical systems and power metering.
• May perform short circuit and protective device coordination studies.
• Write detailed reports and process job billing promptly.
• Conduct equipment labeling tasks per industry standards and company procedures.
• Participate in business development and design client proposals with estimates.
• Develop scope, pricing, and solution strategies; assist others as needed.
