Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a capable Electrical Engineering professional to troubleshoot, test, and inspect electrical apparatus. You will lead project efforts, supervise technical work, and develop detailed project reports for billing and documentation.

The role requires strong knowledge of switchgear testing to 15 kV, experience with NEC and industry standards, and willingness to travel up to 50% for out-of-town engagements and occasional international assignments.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with BSEE or BSME and no experience, or equivalent combinations.
• Electrical background through tech school or military with minimum three years’ related work experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and industry standards (OSHA, NFPA).
• NETA exam is preferred.
• Strong understanding of switchgear testing up to 15 kV.
• Good writing and verbal communication with clients and peers.
• Ability to work flexible hours, travel up to several weeks, including out-of-town and international.
• Willingness to supervise projects with technical and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Test and maintain electrical power distribution systems across projects.
• Lead on projects with some technical supervision.
• Prepare detailed reports and ensure accurate job billing.
• Assist in complex analysis for equipment labeling per standards.
• Engage in business development and client proposals including scope and pricing.
