Job summary

Quality Labor Management (QLM) in New Orleans seeks an Area Superintendent to lead large commercial electrical construction projects across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. You will manage manpower, safety, scheduling, and quality, serving as a bridge between field crews and management.

The role emphasizes delivering projects on time and within budget, with opportunities for career growth and a robust safety program. Travel locally may be required as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent, Area Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar leadership role.
• Strong background in large-scale commercial electrical construction.
• Experience managing multiple crews and supervising large field teams.
• Proven ability to coordinate manpower, schedules, and project resources.
• Thorough understanding of electrical installation methods and construction processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations on assigned project sites.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce all safety requirements.
• Assist with manpower planning and workforce management.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Foremen to address field challenges.
• Track productivity and provide progress updates to leadership.
