Job summary

The Foth Companies is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing and delivering industrial electrical systems, including 15 kV medium voltage and 600 VAC low voltage power distribution, in collaboration with a cross-disciplinary project team.

Based in the United States, this position offers growth opportunities, field data integration, and travel up to 25% as needed. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering – Power System option or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of industrial electrical systems engineering design and analysis experience.
• 5+ years of experience with medium voltage (up to 15 kV) and low voltage (up to 600 VAC) power distribution.
• Professional Engineer license.

Responsibilities

• Gather field data and conduct field investigations in industrial environments.
• Provide design support for industrial electrical systems including MV/LV distribution.
• Perform power systems analysis (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, etc.).
• Design power distribution, grounding, and facilities electrical systems.
• Lead project documentation, schedules, and cost estimates.
• QA/QC of design packages and stamping.
• Lead design reviews with client and internal teams.
• Develop proposals with scope, deliverables, hours, and costs.
• Travel up to 25% annually.
