Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking an Electrical Power Design Engineer in Stafford, TX (near Alpharetta, GA) to lead electrical load studies and prepare comprehensive construction packages for PE stamping. You will coordinate with vendors, support field verification, testing, and commissioning, and travel up to 25% for project execution.

The role demands a PE-eligible engineer with 5+ years of related experience, strong AutoCAD/Excel skills, and solid knowledge of NEC and power distribution practices.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years designing electrical construction packages suitable for PE stamping.
• Experience with load studies, one-line diagrams, and area/building detail diagrams.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE 3000, API 500 preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel; power system modeling tools desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electrical load studies.
• Lead comprehensive electrical power construction packages for PE stamping.
• Develop electrical power specifications for packages.
• Prepare bills of materials and coordinate with vendors.
• Perform field verification and as-built updates.
• Oversee factory acceptance testing and start-up/commissioning.
• Provide after-hours support and coordinate with project managers.
• Assist in cost estimates and proposals with technical input.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
