Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician IV for the 1st shift. This role leads advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment, and provides hands-on guidance to I–III technicians while supporting safety and efficiency.

You will apply expertise in electrical systems, programmable logic controllers, and fabrication, with responsibilities for installing, testing, and maintaining equipment, training others,

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; 8+ years electrical maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
Military training/technical schooling preferred, but not required.
Computer experience and PLC programming knowledge.
Must be available for 1st shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee maintenance tasks for I–III technicians on mechanical and electrical duties.
Troubleshoot advanced electrical circuits and test equipment.
Install, repair, and maintain plant machinery and electrical systems.
Train and mentor others; ensure safety and compliance.
Operate toolsets, welding, and fabrication as needed.
