Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Tech Lead to oversee electrical maintenance across the plant in Chickamauga, GA. You will lead technician-electrians, program PLCs, troubleshoot inverters, and manage preventive maintenance. The role requires strong schematic reading, drive control knowledge, and safe execution.

Qualifications

• Interpret schematics, prints and oral instructions for complex electrical systems.
• Program, troubleshoot and commission PLCs, inverters and related controls.
• Design, install, repair and maintain motors, drives and lighting systems.
• Use test equipment including DMMs, amp meters and Megger meters.
• Understand safety procedures and document outcomes for projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive project assignments and respond to trouble calls from production.
• Provide technical guidance and training to technician-electricians.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and oversee electrical projects.
• Support downtime and plant cleanup as needed.
• Learn and use Ariba to order parts and EZ Entry/TPM to set up work instructions.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time and with proper documentation.
