Job summary

Gerdau is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for the Rolling Mill in Petersburg to lead safety-focused maintenance and continuous improvement across rolling mill equipment. You will guide teams, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to WEM processes while coordinating with cross-functional groups.

The role requires strong electrical expertise, supervisory experience, and the ability to train staff.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree plus 3 years experience preferred or 10 years electrical experience in industrial env.
• Strong electrical experience with heavy mill machinery.
• Experience in scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, maintenance, and supervision.
• Detail oriented with ability to interact with associates at all levels.
• Knowledge of WEM and SAP; training others.
• Ability to train and guide people.
• Solid presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• People management skills required; cost control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety prioritization, assessments, coaching of programs and 5S improvements.
• Develop and implement cost and environmental control goals, and new and current preventive maintenance and safety management routines
• Ensure rolling mill electrical maintenance efforts align with the location's operational goals and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support maintenance area sponsors and other personnel in training, auditing and execution of WEM processes.
• Coordinate efforts with functional groups within and across areas of responsibility.
