Job summary

Loud Solutions in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer, Integration & Test, to own the end-to-end electrical integration and test infrastructure for a commercial microreactor's control system. You will be the first dedicated hire for the Integration & Test team, building a foundation to validate the reactor ahead of deployment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering focusing on integration and test.
• Experience building hardware-in-the-loop test systems from the ground up.
• Familiar with platforms such as NI PXI, dSPACE, Speedgoat, or similar.
• Strong background in signal conditioning, sensor and actuator interfacing, and power distribution.
• Ability to define requirements in ambiguous environments and work independently.
• Experience in test automation, data acquisition systems, and validation methodologies for complex hardware programs.

Responsibilities

• Build the hardware-in-the-loop test system from the ground up, selecting platforms and bringing the test environment online.
• Recreate reactor control system on a bench by simulating sensors, actuators, signals, and inputs/outputs.
• Collaborate across software, controls, simulation, and electrical teams to reflect reactor behavior in testing.
• Define electrical and software integration requirements across power distribution, signal conditioning, sensor mapping, actuator interfaces, and communications.
• Own the electrical validation strategy, including test procedures, automation tooling, data acquisition, debugging methodologies, and engineering best practices.
