Job summary

Loud Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager, Electronics in the Los Angeles area to lead the team responsible for core reactor controls electronics. You will own the electronics architecture and manage a team of electrical engineers across low-noise analog front ends, high-speed data conversion, and PCB development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and develop the Electronics team, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and resource planning.
• Own the electronic architecture for reactor controls, with a longer-term path toward potential space-reactor applications.
• Lead analog and mixed-signal PCB development from requirements and schematic design through manufacturing, bring-up, qualification, and field operation.
• Define requirements for electrical noise, accuracy, input range, environmental performance, interfaces, reliability, and thermal constraints.
• Guide the design of low-noise analog front ends, sensor interfaces, high-speed data conversion, digital communications, and signal-processing hardware.
• Own acceptance and qualification testing for in-house PCB designs and ensure hardware meets system requirements.
• Drive failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and design improvements.
• Partner with controls, embedded software, electrical systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate electronics across the reactor.
• Lead design reviews and communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, and risks to engineering leadership and executives.

On behalf of our client, a company building a commercial microreactor, we're hiring an Engineering Manager, Electronics to lead the team responsible for the custom electronic hardware at the core of the reactor's control system. You will own the electronics architecture while managing and developing a team of electrical engineers responsible for low-noise analog front ends, mixed-signal electronics, high-speed data conversion, communications, and custom PCB development.

This is a highly hands-on management role for a technical leader who wants to remain close to the hardware. You will work alongside the Principal Electronics Engineer, guide the team through the complete hardware development lifecycle, and establish the technical and organizational foundation needed to deliver reliable reactor-control electronics. You will have meaningful authority over architecture, hiring, engineering standards, qualification strategy, and how the team grows.
