GE Aerospace in Niskayuna, NY is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to support site operations and lead electrical designs for new equipment and renovations. You will develop drawings in AutoCAD, manage shutdowns, and supervise technicians while ensuring NFPA, NYS Building Code and OSHA compliance.

The role requires a strong background in electrical facilities/engineering, project leadership, and the ability to coordinate with researchers and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years in Electrical Facilities or Design Engineering, or an Associate's with 10+ years.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to work at the Niskayuna, NY office.

Responsabilités

• Manage electrical shutdowns for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Provide direction to Electricians, Technicians and other trade labor.
• Lead electrical designs for new equipment and renovated spaces.
• Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Generate electrical equipment material lists for procurement.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Researchers and staff from other disciplines.
• Perform field work to validate construction drawings with as-built conditions.
• Maintain/update plant electrical single line diagrams.
• Apply NFPA, NYS Building Code and OSHA regulations.
• Utilize engineering software for electrical design and evaluations.
• Manage multiple activities concurrently.
