Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and implement electrical systems and infrastructure at its Advanced Research Center in Niskayuna, NY.

You will lead high and medium voltage projects, ensure NEC/OSHA compliance, and mentor teams while coordinating with researchers and facilities staff. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with relevant experience.
• Experience with research or testing operations and electrical system design.
• Excellent project management skills including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, IEEE, NEC).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States and willingness to work from Niskayuna, NY.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and infrastructure, including high and medium voltage systems (115kV and 34.5kV).
• Develop and review electrical system designs such as single-line diagrams and control schematics; ensure code compliance.
• Support operations and maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Manage infrastructure projects from conception to completion, coordinating with researchers and facilities teams; manage schedules and budgets.
• Conduct electrical safety audits and mentor team members on safety.
