Job summary

Gpac is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Estimator on behalf of a local electrical contractor in Las Vegas. You will lead the estimating process on large commercial, industrial and institutional projects, develop bids from specs and drawings, and mentor junior estimators to sharpen accuracy and efficiency.

You will reviewTake-offs, cost data, and supplier pricing to deliver competitive, compliant estimates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
• Expertise estimating commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Proficient with Accubid, McCormick or Conest estimating software.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost control.
• Able to interpret blueprints, specifications and contracts with precision.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Stable work history and leadership/senior estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to develop comprehensive bids.
• Conduct detailed take-offs, ensuring accurate material and labor cost estimates.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Analyze historical cost data and supplier pricing to improve estimating accuracy.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs to verify project conditions.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure pricing.
• Oversee junior estimators, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Collaborate on value engineering to optimize project costs and efficiency.
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards, regulations, and contracts.
