Job summary

Stryker Electrical Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead bid work on large-scale commercial and industrial projects in Florida. The role emphasizes accurate takeoffs, competitive pricing, and strong collaboration with the construction team.

You will develop proposals from plans and specs, coordinate with vendors for quotes, and manage multiple bids from start to finish, including post-bid follow-ups and change orders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Strong MS Excel/Word and ConEst software skills.
• Able to manage multiple bids and deadlines with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication with teams and clients.
• Experience on education sector large commercial/industrial projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects with electrical scopes up to $10,000,000.
• Develop complete takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals.
• Clarify bid documents and prepare RFIs.
• Post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain multiple material quotes.
• Collaborate with the construction team throughout project execution.
• Create, manage, and track change orders and bid documentation.
