Job summary

Sceflorida is seeking an Estimator to support the estimating team on commercial electrical projects. The role focuses on learning SCE estimating standards, tools, workflows, and expectations while contributing production support to active bids.

Under the Senior Estimator, you will perform quantity takeoffs, input vendor pricing, and help prepare components for bids, with a path toward greater independence and accuracy in estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years in electrical construction or estimating support.
• Proficiency with Accubid, LiveCount, Bluebeam, Excel and Word.
• Ability to read construction documents and strong attention to detail.
• Must have fluent English communication and a Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with review of drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs under direction using Accubid, LiveCount, and Bluebeam.
• Support development of scopes, inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Prepare draft estimate components for senior estimator review.
• Assist with bid form completion and proposal assembly.
• Attend pre-bid meetings or walkthroughs when requested.
• Coordinate daily with senior estimators on bids and provide task updates.
• Maintain organized estimate backup and audit trails.
