Job summary

Owen Electric Company Inc in Saint Augustine, FL, seeks a Chief level Electrical Estimator to lead bids for large-scale commercial, data center and industrial projects. The role requires PE certification, 3+ years of chief-level estimating experience, strong NEC knowledge, and proficiency with Accubid Anywhere.

You will manage a team of estimators and coordinate with project managers, engineers and vendors to ensure accurate, competitive cost projections.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer Certification required.
• 3+ years of Chief level electrical estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in Accubid Anywhere.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong communication with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage a team of estimators and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for large-scale commercial, data center and industrial projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and cost.
• Identify labor, materials, and equipment costs for comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure precise cost projections.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes and best practices in electrical construction.
• Assist in value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations with internal stakeholders.
• Utilize Accubid Anywhere to develop proposals.
