Job summary

Owen Electric Company Inc seeks a Chief level Electrical Estimator to lead cost forecasting for large-scale commercial, data center, and industrial projects.

You will analyze drawings and bid docs, develop labor and material costs, and coordinate with PMs, engineers and vendors to ensure accurate estimates and competitive bids. Experience with NEC codes, team leadership, and Accubid Anywhere is required.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer Certification is required.
• 3+ years of Chief level electrical estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems and construction methods.
• Proficiency in Accubid Anywhere for proposals.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong vendor, client and internal team communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive electrical estimates for large-scale commercial, data center and industrial projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specs and bid documents to determine scope and cost.
• Identify labor, material and equipment costs for comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and vendors on cost projections.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes and best practices in electrical construction.
• Assist in value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations with internal stakeholders.
• Utilize Accubid Anywhere to develop proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience estimating large scale projects
• Knowledge of high-voltage systems, switchgear, and backup power solutions.
• Prior experience with design-build and fast-track projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
