Job summary

Owen Electric Company Inc in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a Chief Electrical Estimator to lead bids for large-scale commercial, data center and industrial projects. The role requires PE certification, 3+ years of chief-level estimating experience, and a deep understanding of NEC codes and construction methods.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and vendors to develop accurate cost projections, evaluate subcontractor proposals and guide a team of estimators to meet tight

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer Certification.
• 3+ years of Chief level electrical estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in Accubid Anywhere.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage a team of estimators and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for large scale commercial, data center and industrial projects.

• Identify labor, material, and equipment costs to develop comprehensive estimates.

• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices related to electrical construction.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations with internal stakeholders.
• Utilize Accubid Anywhere to develop proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
