Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our South Florida team with offices in Coral Gables, Hollywood or Boca Raton. The role is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote) and focuses on electrical design for water and wastewater facilities.

You will lead electrical efforts on projects, interact with clients and engineers, and mentor junior staff. Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 7–15 years of design experience, PE licensure, and AutoCAD proficiency;

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7–15 years of electrical engineering and design experience.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• AutoCAD experience required.

Responsibilities

• Power design for water and wastewater facilities including distribution, generator design, motor control, and lighting.
• Lead electrical engineer on projects when required and supervise junior staff.
• Engage with clients and other engineers; mentor local staff.
• Support business development, proposals, and scope development.
• Possibly serve as Project Manager for electrical projects.
