Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer seeks an experienced electrical engineer to join our South Florida team in Coral Gables, Hollywood or Boca Raton. This hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 remote) focuses on electrical design for water and wastewater facilities, serving as lead electrical engineer when required.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, 7–15 years of experience, a Professional Engineer license, and AutoCAD proficiency, with strong communication skills for collaboration with clients,

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
7-15 years of experience in electrical engineering and design
Professional Engineering License
AutoCAD experience

Responsibilities

Power design for medium and low voltage distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, and equipment layout.
Knowledge of the NEC and related codes.
Serve as electrical engineer on water and wastewater facility projects.
Supervise less experienced staff and interact with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
Mentor less experienced staff in local offices.
Engage in proposal development and fee/scope development.
Fill the role of Project Manager for Electrical projects.
