HR Green, Inc. is hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Water/Wastewater Team in Cedar Rapids.

You will design power, lighting, grounding, standby generation, and fire alarm systems for municipal facilities, while mentoring and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. The role offers exposure to a range of projects from treatment plants to pumping and conveyance, with opportunities for client-facing work, mentorship, and career growth.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in one or more states or ability to obtain within six months.
• 10+ years of design/engineering experience and sign-off authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel; knowledge of CAD/engineering automation tools.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and independently complete engineering designs with professional judgment.
• Assist the Project Manager, assign tasks, and monitor progress with team members.
• Design power, lighting, grounding, standby generation, fire alarm, and related systems for Water/Wastewater facilities.
• Check QA/QC of tasks and ensure accuracy for internal/external customers.
• Make major design decisions and coordinate impacts on related project efforts.
• Identify issues and seek resolution with PM or client as appropriate.
• Support bidding/contractor selection; respond to contractor questions and issue addenda.
• Contribute to proposals with time and cost estimates; sign engineering documents.
