Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Hardware Engineering Lead for Tactical Data Links (TDL) in Carlsbad/San Diego, on-site. You will guide a team of engineers across new and sustaining programs, focusing on Link 16 capabilities and high-reliability electronics.

Strong leadership, PCB/FPGA design experience, and a security clearance are required. You will collaborate with Systems, Software, and Operations to deliver timely, compliant solutions in a defense domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related experience; graduate degree with 7+ years preferred.
• Active U.S. security clearance required.
• Experience with Link 16 in defense or related programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware engineering efforts for new development and sustaining programs.
• Provide technical direction and oversight to engineers in the group.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, PM and Test to transition designs to production.
• Support cross-functional teams and customer interfaces to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Lead failure investigations related to design, production, or customer returns.
