Job summary

Walden Robotics is seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical systems for our humanoid robot. You will own architecture, design power electronics, batteries, and wire harnesses, and drive production release from prototype to production with cross-functional teams.

The role requires deep experience in high-current systems, system integration, and mentoring engineers, with a bias for action and ownership. Join a mission to advance robotics hardware at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering complex electrical systems from concept through production.
• Battery systems design including BMS integration, charging and protection.
• Strong power electronics fundamentals for high-current systems.
• Wire harness and interconnect design from prototype to production.
• Cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, firmware, and controls teams.
• DFM/DFA and production release experience.
• Mentorship of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical platform architecture for the humanoid robot (power, grounding, protection).
• Design and deliver power management electronics and high-power switches.
• Design the wire harness and interconnect system for production readiness.
• Define and integrate battery systems with pack, BMS, and cell suppliers.
• Collaborate across mechanical, firmware, controls, and technicians for integration.
• Lead system-level validation: power budgets, fault analysis, thermal tests.
• Drive production release with manufacturing and supply chain; mentor staff.
