Job summary

Blue Signal Search seeks an Electrical Engineering Lead for Renewable Energy to own electrical deliverables from concept through construction in Minnesota. The role requires a licensed professional engineer, strong NEC knowledge, and leadership across solar, storage, and EV projects.

The successful candidate will seal documents, guide design choices, and work with engineers, electricians, and utilities to ensure safe, compliant installations while expanding internal capabilities and project

Qualifications

Licensed Minnesota Professional Engineer authorized to seal electrical documents.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years in electrical design and project delivery.
NABCEP PV Associate certification or higher is preferred.
Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and practical electrical engineering principles.
Experience with commercial/industrial electrical systems and 480V or below is valuable.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering deliverables and seal project documents.
Review electrical drawings, equipment selections, interconnection info, and design details before construction.
Guide electrical design decisions across distributed energy installations (solar PV, storage, EV charging).
Apply NEC and utility standards to produce safe, constructible solutions.
Collaborate with designers, project leaders, electricians, customers, utilities, and regulators.
Provide input on alternatives, constructability, costs, schedules, and field conditions.
Troubleshoot engineering issues during construction or commissioning.
