Job summary

CTCIA is seeking a lead electrical engineer in Houston to guide a team of engineers and designers, ensuring electrical work aligns with project schedules, budgets, and client standards. You will interface with the PM team, review technical deliverables, apply NEC/NFPA/IEEE codes, and oversee calculations, schematics, and data sheets.

A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required. This role emphasizes coordination across disciplines, timely approvals, and delivering compliant electrical

Qualifications

Lead engineer responsibilities and interface with PM team.
Experience with electrical design and NEC/NFPA/IEEE codes.
Licensure as PE required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with project management and discipline management to ensure execution aligns with company standards.
Prepare, review and PE seal of drawings, load lists, calculations, schematics, data sheets, and requisitions.
Develop lighting, grounding, and power plans with cable and panel schedules; prepare wiring diagrams.
Develop hazardous area classifications with safety group.
Collaborate with procurement for requisitions, bids, and PO packages.
Develop material and man-hour estimates and contribute to project scheduling.
