WSP USA seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Power & Energy Advanced Complementary Services (ACS) team in Seattle, WA or New York, NY. You will provide high‑level technical guidance for due diligence, design, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial projects focused on electrification and decarbonization.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10–12 years of experience delivering behind‑the‑meter power systems, with expertise in MV/LV

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of progressive experience delivering behind‑the‑meter electrical power system design and assessments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the preparation and review of IFC electrical design documents for behind‑the‑meter systems from 35 kV through MV/LV distribution.
• Perform site visits and field assessments to evaluate existing electrical infrastructure and code compliance; document findings and recommendations.
• Serve as technical lead for utility coordination including service applications and interconnection requirements.
• Design and review MV switchgear, substations, power distribution, lighting, grounding, and protection systems.
• Develop and review equipment specifications and procurement packages.
• Carry out electrical calculations: load studies, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, device coordination.
• Prepare power system studies using ETAP, SKM, or equivalent software.
• Support renewable energy and decarbonization projects, including PV and BESS integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; ensure QA/QC.
