Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced electrical engineer to design electrical systems for offsite manufacturing and modular components. You will develop single-line diagrams, select equipment, size conductors, and ensure safety and compliance while optimizing for transport, assembly, and on-site installation.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and the OSM team to integrate MV/LV systems into design documents, drawings, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree with 6+ years of design experience
• PE licensure preferred/required
• Familiar with NEC, NFPA, IBC codes
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for OSM products and systems, including single line development and equipment selections
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, electrical, structural engineers to integrate MV/LV systems into design documents
• Create detailed electrical drawings using CAD/BIM tools
• Engage in client-facing and cross-functional discussions to finalize designs
• Review and approve engineering drawings and vendor drawings to meet requirements
• Assess materials and methods for performance and cost efficiency
• Oversee designs with manufacturing for production optimization
• Conduct shop floor and field visits to verify constructability and alignment with needs
• Stay current on innovations in electrical engineering and OSM techniques
• Prepare technical studies, specifications, cost estimates, and proposal evaluations
• Other duties as assigned
