Job summary

Hire Consulting Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across industrial and semiconductor facilities from basis of design through construction and startup. The role is based in the Burlington, VT area, working from the office with a path to greater responsibilities as you grow with the firm.

The candidate will design power distribution, perform system studies, prepare construction documents, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) with Vermont registration or ability to obtain.
• Electrical design experience on industrial or semiconductor facilities.
• Working knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Experience running power system studies in SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
• Semiconductor facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution for industrial facilities, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting and standby generation, and fire alarm.
• Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Prepare one-lines, load calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record.
