Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead development of electrical system architectures and high‑speed digital designs for satellites and defense systems. You will report to the Sr.

Manager of High‑Speed Digital and work with seasoned engineers on concept, prototype, integration and test. Based in Rancho Bernardo, CA, you’ll drive technical plans, coordinate documentation and reviews, and help deploy new solutions while engaging customers and

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field required; advanced degrees preferred.
Minimum 8+ years engineering experience in high-speed digital and power electronics.
Active DoD security clearance preferred.
Experience guiding designs from development to production.
Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical architectures for high‑power processing and controls across product lines.
Lead technical objectives and coordinate project teams.
Improve legacy systems and develop new solutions.
Present findings and manage schedules.
Coordinate documentation, testing and deployment.
Represent GA-EMS as a prime technical contact.
Travel up to 25% may be required.
