Job summary

Salas OBrien in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide comprehensive electrical design for diverse construction projects. The role leads design efforts, prepares construction documents, and coordinates with architects, owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality electrical systems.

The candidate will travel nationally and internationally, review codes, and ensure NEC and energy code compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with PE registration required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical design including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, coordination/arc flash studies.
• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code and Building/NFPA/Energy Codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software and able to balance multiple projects in a team.
• U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design effort on large and small projects.
• Prepare construction documents (drawings and specifications) and design reviews.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, and project stakeholders.
• Create reports and meeting minutes; travel for projects nationally and internationally.
