Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex projects within our Food & Beverage Engineering team. You will mentor staff, update design standards, and perform QA/QC of plans for bidding and construction.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and 8+ years of related experience. Some travel is expected as part of project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer on complex projects and provide technical mentorship.
• Update design standards for calculations, sizing and best practices.
• QA/QC of plans and specifications for bidding and construction.
• Support development of probable cost estimates for projects.
• Design low and medium voltage power systems (MCCs, generators, UPS).
• Design lighting and control systems for manufacturing and industrial spaces.
• Layout low-voltage cabling raceways and devices.
• Perform periodic construction site visits.
• Some travel is required.
