Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead analysis, design and optimization of electrical power systems for data centers. You will ensure reliability, code compliance and continuous operation of mission-critical facilities.

The role requires 4+ years of EE experience, knowledge of low voltage switchgear, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. Collaboration with contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• PE license - optional.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of low voltage switchgear design, installation and usage.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes governing installation of low voltage switchgear.
• Proficiency in AutoDesk suite including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical construction drawings and equipment specs.
• Understanding of National Electrical Code.
• Ability to research new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Engineer on projects from pre-sales to commissioning.
• Design UPS/DC power systems and switchgear configurations to meet requirements and budgets.
• Prepare BOMs and modify standard assemblies as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors for construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards; interface with commissioning teams.
